2023 Busy Season Internship (Cleveland or Columbus)
We offer busy season internships to outstanding college students interested in a career in public accounting. This twelve-week experience from January to April is available within the Cleveland or Columbus offices. With a focus on either Auditing, Healthcare, Private Business Advisory, or Tax, interns develop a sense of their professional preferences in a real-world setting. Business Valuation Professional
We are seeking a Business Valuation Senior or Manager. Reporting Valuation and M&A practice leader, your responsibilities will include working on litigation/business valuation engagements or tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation and review of valuations for closely held businesses
- Assist in litigation support, primarily the calculation of lost profits and damages
- Analyze industry and financial conditions of peer companies, evaluate business plans, adjust financial statements, and build discount rates analysis
- Participate in due diligence activities on M&A transactions, purchase price allocations engagements, and goodwill impairment measurement
- Build and update financial models including diverse valuation methods, such as discounted cash flow, trading comparables and transaction comparables
- Assist in marketing of valuation and litigation support services
- Perform analysis on financial and economic data, subject companies, publicly traded companies, industries and markets
- Assist in report preparation, proposals, and executive presentations
- Review and analyze U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) financial statements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business or related field
- 2+ years of experience with business valuation-related projects within a CPA or advisory firm
- Experience with valuations of business entities and intangible assets (ASC 805 & ASC 820), purchase price allocations, and financial analysis and research
- Advanced finance, financial modeling, accounting, and analytical abilities
- Microsoft Office Suite, and other business valuation application and data providers
