Dear valued clients and friends of the firm:

HW&Co.’s number one priority is the safety and well-being of our people, clients, families and the communities in which we live and work. We want to share with you what we are doing to play a role in preventing the spread of COVID-19 while also doing our best to provide the high level of service you have come to know from HW&Co.

Every day we are learning more about precautionary measures, e.g. school closings, event cancellations and regulatory changes. In the past few weeks we have taken the following actions:

  • We have communicated to our employees in all locations our company policy on the importance of working in a healthy workplace and following all CDC guidelines on preventing the spread of COVID-19, influenza and other communicable diseases.
  • We are internally emphasizing social distancing and limiting in-person meeting sizes and requiring more webinars and conference calls.
  • We are actively monitoring guidance from the World Health Organization (WHO), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state/local governmental agencies to ensure we implement protocol as necessary.
  • We have implemented a “Remote Workplace Plan” to allow our employees the ability to work remotely from any location while still maintaining our Firm Standards.
  • We have processes in place to ensure the security of confidential documents and emails.
  • We are requiring any visitor to register at our front desk in each office location to determine any risk factors.

HW&Co.’s offices remain open to serve you. We have an outstanding group of talented professionals that are working tirelessly to service our clientele but at the same time recognizing we need to work in a healthy environment and being responsible to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

We are beginning to be notified of numerous deadline extensions, most recently HUD’s REAC reporting deadline extending to 4/30/2020 and consideration by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to extend tax reporting deadlines. I imagine it is only a matter of time that other governmental agencies will follow.

We appreciate your continued support and patience at this time. Please do not hesitate to contact us if there are any questions regarding this matter.
