HW&Co. recruits at several Ohio universities each year, seeking top accounting students or recent graduates interested in busy season internships. Our programs provide students with the opportunity to learn more about careers in public accounting. We invite you to take a close look at both of our programs.
This twelve-week experience runs January-April and allows for deeper discovery and hands-on training. With a focus on either Auditing, Healthcare, or Tax, Busy Season Interns develop a sense for their professional preferences in a real world setting. Successful interns may have the opportunity to receive an offer to return to HW&Co. as a staff accountant following graduation.

What are the main qualifications you look for in an intern candidate?
Our ideal candidate is involved in extracurricular activities, has work experience and a strong interest in public accounting. We need to see that you can put in the time and effort to learn and succeed.
How many hours can an intern expect to work during the internship?
Our interns will be essentially doing the same work as our staff accountants. During busy season you can expect to work about 55-60 hours a week
(including Saturdays).
How much on the job training will be provided?
Your first week is all training. We cover everything from firm how-to’s, to financial statement preparation, software packages and more! After new hire training you will receive department-specific training.
