International Fraud Awareness Week, led by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), runs from November 17-23. This global initiative aims to spotlight fraud, promote prevention strategies, and encourage businesses to raise awareness and educate their teams.
During International Fraud Awareness Week, the IRS also encourages individuals, businesses, and tax professionals to take time to learn to recognize red flags and to ensure defenses are in place to stop scammers and those who promote tax schemes.
